More cranesbills and Discovery apple
I have picked the Discovery apple and managed to have five that were not spilt due to periods of wet and dry. I can't remember if I have already recorded my thoughts on this apple. It looks pretty, is an early eating apple with a very short shelf life. It is not in the best spot I will admit - it's too dry. It was my first apple in - no soil profile dug and no research into the apple either. I made mistakes with my shaping and cut it off and started again!! It does produce but fruit ends up being stewed along with windfalls from other apples because of the spilts and the short shelf life. I have been very remiss about not recording planting locations nor names of my newest acquisitions. I'm hoping I have all the details in my phone notes. Mayflower, is blue and close to Rocket's grave - it has flowered but didn't photograph. Ann Folkard is in the Wintersweet garden - very pretty. She is winding her way through things....
