Goodbye Rocket my darling

  I lost my darling Rocket just before Christmas 2024.   She was just the best little dog friend, farm helper and walking companion and we were privileged to share our home with her for the last ten and a half years of her life.   She came to use as a 'farm fail' but the only failure was on the part of her previous owners failing to care for her.   She was one day off 14 years and just kept going until she couldn’t.   She has been laid to rest in Meg's garden, and I have found a rhododendron called 'Rocket' that I hope to obtain.  Meg's garden won't be quite the right spot for a rhododendron as it is a dry and fairly poor bit of the garden with straight gravel down about 60cm.   Cornus  'Greenvale' is the tree that commemorates all the dogs buried in the vicinity.   Perhaps somehow Rocket knew her replacement was not too far away.   Young Kelty arrived on Boxing Day 2024 desperate for a new home.   She is intent on de...
